Where do I begin?

Camilla,

We have done so much. These past few weeks have taught us both how to connect and ground back into our bodies. We have tribal danced to Moana and Frozen. Becoming one with earth, wind, and water. Twirled around the house like cyclones, whipping Kroy as he shrieked with glee. We have turned into Tigers, crawling on the floor and growling as Aladdin played in the background.

We have gone to Universal twice at night. We have learned about magic as we walked through Hogsmeade and flew through the night sky on Flight of the Hippogriff. We have never felt more alive than seeing all the fire torches as we walked through Jurassic World. We felt like birds flying through the night sky on Pteredendon Flyers. Yes, play and magic and wonder and awe are just as important as learning how to read. You, my fierce, brave Camilla, are learning how to be.

You made watercolor bats for Halloween. And dozens of creepy crawlies. And when you say over and over again how proud you are of yourself, paintbrush in hand, I know I’ve done my job as a mom.

We read The Lorax and watched the movie and learned why it’s so important to be stewards of this Earth. To connect with Gaia and take care in replenishing what we use. To be conscious consumers and only support businesses that treat Earth with respect. We also loved the phrase “butterfly milk” and wished we could touch Truffula Trees.

You learned how to say, “I have autonomy over my own body.” And what that means.

You have helped me nurture and care for Kroy and he is so blessed to have two humans in his life that shower him with love all day long.

Yes, Camilla, we have done so much. We have been, so much.

I can’t wait to see what next week brings...

I love you with all my heart and soul,

Your Mama
